Bittersweet

lunch break while waiting for my reimbursement so i can run over to hsbc and pay for my credit card bill...

After how many months of blood, sweat and tears, we finally did it. Yesterday, Musica Chiesa launched their self-titled album.

other issues aside, there are 4 people whom i would have wanted to be there yesterday morning (5 actually). 2 were supposed to be there, but for circumstances beyond their control were not able to make it. 1 had a prior commitment. 1 I don't want to know anymore. and the last person...

flashback to Chiesa's last anniversary mass. I remember having to run around, Ensayo the night before, minimal sleep, had to cram an arrangement for the mass, then from up to jmm,to cram again, then off to moa (which i didn't play for). I distinctly remember the drive from up to jmm, that i had to take a few minutes, tell myself to pull myself together, and drag myself through the rest of the day.

but enough of the bitter...

Coming into yesterday's launch, I was very tired, burnt out, and could not wait for everything to be over (even if this is just the firs half of the project). I remember last night, how tired i felt, but quite irritated that I still could not get a good night's sleep because of the heat.

Even if I missed that harmonic la which consequently lead to me missing the first chord of the verse and messing up the progression of the first verse, it was quite an experience having people sing along. The album was received quite well, so far we've had very good feedback, hopefully, this would translate to good sales as well.

on a side note, I received word on a project yesterday. actually quite excited to work on it.

so now, back to work. another manic monday. Time for the weekend warrior to leave the fantasy behind and get back to the real world.. but I just have to say, not bad, not bad at all.
